A Jewish Men’s Journey

Kinhood and Ramah in the Rockies are creating a journey for Jewish men to come together, support each other, and explore new avenues of growth, expression, and accountability.

This program is for Jewish men who want to practice ways of relating more deeply and authentically to ourselves, each other, our communities, our spiritual tradition, and the land.

Our Journey includes:

  • 6 week online course, March 11-April 15

  • 3-day retreat in the expansive wilds of the Colorado rockies, May 17-19

There are some big question at hand for all of us.

What does it mean to be a Jewish man today?

What have we learned from our avot, our forefathers, and our male role models early in our lives, and how do we become good models for those who follow in our footsteps?

These questions are not easy to answer, especially in light of the dark turmoil cast over our people in recent months.

When our leaders are failing us, what does leadership actually look like? How do we open our hearts and show up authentically when what’s reflected to us is a world of fear and violence? What can we do to create ripples of trust that touch the hearts of those who might otherwise pull triggers and drop bombs?

We don’t know these answers, but we know there are seeds within each of us that need a healthy ecosystem to grow. This journey is an opportunity to come together, share the soil of our lives, and see what beauty, hope, and healing we can grow together.

Kinhood’s programs offer a series of gateways through the discomfort of healing into terrains of beauty, sweetness, and depth. I feel nourished by the small sips of wisdom I received from the facilitators, guests, and other participants. It feels like a compass point to follow, and a few hearty steps down a road toward deeper embodiment, and a deeper sense of kinship with other men, myself and the world. The ripples are nourishing me in my fatherhood, husbandhood, and fellowship with beloveds.

"This has been an incredible experience that has taught me to be more open and honest, with myself and those around me. Men's work is brand new to me, and I couldn't have asked for better guides into exploring my soul. I felt so welcome and safe in delving deep inside to answer questions I hadn't even considered asking. My time in this course will always be with me and help shape who I am going forward in life."

Cost

We ask for a financial contribution of $360-$720.

This includes:

  • a 6-week online course

  • a 3-day in-person retreat

  • all meals and lodging during the retreat

  • preparatory and supplemental materials for the course and retreat

This very subsidized cost has been made possible by a generous grant from the Maimonides Fund. Without this grant, we would need to ask for three to four times as much. So we are grateful to offer this amount of programming at such a heavily discounted rate!

And, we have limited scholarships available if price is still a barrier. Please reach out if you’d like to know more.
